Client Information
RIDERS MUST COMPLETE AN APPLICATION AND BE APPROVED FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CROSSROADS PROGRAM
Contact the Crossroads Executive Director to discuss if equine assisted activity is right for you or your child. In some cases riding might not be appropriate, but clients can still interact with horses from the ground and have a lesson. We tailor our lessons to meet the needs of the rider.

We provide adaptive riding for persons with various abilities. We are not trained physical or psychological therapists. We take into account the rider's needs when creating safe riding lessons. Safety for the rider, teacher, volunteers, and horses always comes first.
We serve adults and children. Children must be at least four years of age. There is not a maximum age.
The rider’s weight will be taken into consideration when evaluating a rider. We consider both the staff’s ability to manage a rider in any situation and the welfare of the horse. We must consider both the rider’s safety and the ability of the horse to carry a rider.
You are welcome to come and observe a session. Please call if you would like to come out and see what we do. Lessons begin in April to July, and then from September to November. Sessions run for six weeks, with a two week break between sessions.
If you or your child are accepted into the program, you will be assigned an appointment time. Before you can begin riding at Crossroads, you must have all your forms completed, including your physician’s medical release for equine activities. Click on the Client Forms link at the right for the required forms.
Participants are accepted into the program as space becomes available. There is often a waiting list, so try to get your application turned in as soon as possible. There is no charge for Crossroads services.
Forms must be updated annually.
